For Authors

Paper Submission & Review

Everything you need to know about submitting, review, presentation, and publication at GMEISS 2027.

Responsible Innovation Statement. GMEISS encourages research that contributes to scientific advancement while promoting ethical, inclusive, sustainable, and socially responsible innovation. Authors are encouraged to consider the broader societal, environmental, economic, and policy implications of their research and to demonstrate how their work contributes to addressing contemporary global challenges.

Scope of Submissions

GMEISS 2027 welcomes the submission of high-quality, original research papers that contribute to advancing knowledge and practice across the conference themes.

Submitted papers should provide a meaningful contribution to knowledge through original findings, methodological advances, theoretical development, practical applications, or significant insights relevant to the conference themes. They may present conceptual, empirical, methodological, interdisciplinary, or applied research.

Manuscript Requirements

  • All manuscripts must be written in English and prepared in accordance with the official GMEISS 2027 author guidelines and formatting template.
  • Manuscripts should normally not exceed 5,000 words or approximately 12 pages, including figures, tables, appendices, and references.
  • The manuscript similarity index should not exceed 15%, excluding references, quotations, and properly cited material.
  • Papers must be original work — not previously published, accepted elsewhere, or simultaneously under review during the process.
  • Manuscripts must be anonymized: remove all names, affiliations, acknowledgements, funding information, and other identifying information.
  • Complete references, including DOIs, are strongly encouraged for accurate attribution, indexing, and citation.

Manuscripts should be submitted through the official conference submission system, or where applicable by email to gmeissconference@gmail.com. The Program Committee reserves the right to decline any submission that does not comply with the conference guidelines, ethical standards, formatting requirements, or scope.

Peer Review Process

GMEISS 2027 is committed to a rigorous, transparent, fair, and constructive peer-review process that promotes scientific excellence.

Editorial Screening

Each submission first undergoes an editorial assessment for compliance with the conference scope, formatting, originality, ethical standards, and anonymization. Non-compliant manuscripts may be returned for correction or declined before external review.

Double-Blind Peer Review

Every eligible manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers with recognised expertise in the subject area. Where recommendations differ substantially, an additional reviewer or Associate Editor may be appointed. The complete review cycle normally spans a minimum of five (5) weeks. All submissions are evaluated on the full manuscript — abstract-only submissions are not considered for the proceedings.

Evaluation Criteria

Manuscripts are evaluated on originality, scientific significance, methodological rigour, technical quality, relevance to the theme and track, quality of literature review, validity of data analysis, practical or societal impact, clarity of presentation, and overall contribution to knowledge.

Editorial Decisions

The anticipated acceptance rate is approximately 40%; all decisions are determined exclusively by scientific quality, originality, and relevance. Following review, manuscripts receive one of four decisions:

  • Accept
  • Accept with Minor Revisions
  • Major Revisions Required
  • Reject

Revisions

Authors normally have seven (7) days to submit a revised manuscript with a detailed Point-by-Point Response Letter. Revised manuscripts are normally returned to the original reviewers, who are allocated up to ten (10) days per review cycle. The final decision rests with the Conference Scientific Committee.

Conference Presentation

Acceptance of a paper implies a commitment to present the work during GMEISS 2027. At least one registered author of each accepted paper must attend and deliver the presentation, either in person or through an approved presentation format.

Failure to present an accepted paper without prior approval may result in withdrawal from the programme and exclusion from the proceedings and post-conference publication opportunities.

Camera-Ready Papers

  • Accepted papers require a final camera-ready version prepared strictly to the publisher's formatting and copyright requirements, incorporating all accepted reviewer recommendations.
  • Camera-ready details must correspond to the information supplied during submission and copyright processing.
  • Changes to author order, corresponding author, or affiliations after camera-ready submission are considered only in exceptional circumstances with written approval of the Scientific Committee.
  • Where an author changed institutions during review, the published affiliation should normally reflect the institution where the research was conducted.
  • All post-acceptance correspondence is conducted through the designated corresponding author.
  • Submitting the camera-ready manuscript confirms that all authors approved the final version.

Post-Conference Publication Opportunities

All accepted and presented papers will be considered for publication in the official GMEISS 2027 Conference Proceedings, subject to the publisher's editorial standards and quality requirements.

The Scientific Committee will identify a selection of outstanding papers for invitation to submit substantially extended versions for publication in partner international journals, edited books, or special issues — based on originality, scientific quality, reviewer evaluations, presentation quality, and overall contribution.

Invited manuscripts must contain significant additional scholarly content and will undergo the publisher's independent peer-review process. An invitation does not constitute or guarantee acceptance for publication.

Best Paper Awards

To recognise outstanding scientific contributions, GMEISS 2027 will present several conference awards:

  • Best Paper Award
  • Best Student Paper Award
  • Best Presentation Award
  • Outstanding Reviewer Award

Recipients are selected by the Conference Scientific Committee based on scientific quality, originality, innovation, reviewer evaluations, and presentation performance.
